Let’s start the week off right! We are beyond grateful and excited to announce that the 2024 Maple League all star WR Bryce Nunnelly will be joining us again in the 2025 season!
HC Tuomas Heikkinen shared his thoughts about Nunnelly coming back:
”It is always a good thing when a key import player comes back after a Championship season.
I don’t know Bryce yet, but I followed the games closely last year and definitely noticed him being an impact player. Just like a WR should be, a playmaker, a threat at all times, requiring special attention from the opponents.
I have seen and heard nothing but good about him all together, and look forward to getting him join the -25 Roosters. ”
Nunnelly shared his thoughts as well about coming back to the Roosters:
“I am excited to come back and build on the success we had last season! I look forward to seeing all of my teammates again. It is a special program, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this team.”

SIGNED 2025 AKI-PETTERI AHO, TARMO PITKÄNEN AND EERO SAARINEN🫡
We are happy to announce that three of our players from last season will return for the 2025 season!
Offensive coordinator Kalle Karppinen had some thoughts about Aho and Pitkänen coming back in the 2025 season:
“At offensive line, where we expect to see some turnover from last year’s experienced group, we are very excited to have Aki Aho returning to provide some stability and experience. Aki brings his toughness and attitude to every play and practice rep and helps set the tone in the interior of our offense.
At wide receiver, Tarmo Pitkänen had a breakout season last year with lots of important catches in crucial situations, finding a good connection with Ambro, and we expect him to take another step upwards this year. We look forward to another season where we can spread the ball to a lot of different skill players on offense and make us hard to defend by taking away any one threat - Tarmo continues to play a key role in that approach.”
Defensive coordinator Timi Tuominen also shared his thoughts about Saarinen:
”Eero is a young and promising player as well as talented. He hasn’t had a big role before but he definitely has the talent for it. I’m excited to see his development this offseason and hopefully we’ll see him making big plays next summer”
